Based at the old Essex port of Maldon at the head of the beautiful River Blackwater, (about 75 minutes from London by train and taxi), Wyvenhoe's sailing area is the Thames Estuary from Aldeburgh in Suffolk to Whitstable on the North Kent Coast.

We can arrange to start and finish trips from Maldon, Pin Mill, Chatham and of course London. By prior arrangement we can also operate from bases away from the Thames estuary such as the Solent.

Whether you want to journey up the Thames, seek wild countryside or visit quiet seaside hamlets we can arrange a trip to suit you. Our guests can participate in working the vessel or simply relax on deck and in the spacious saloon.

Many ports of call are regular including Aldeburgh, Orford, Woodbridge, Harwich, Mistley, Pin Mill and Ipswich.

Moving south the Walton Backwaters are a lovely natural archipelago of saltflats and islands. In the Colne, we find Rowhedge, Wivenhoe and Brightlingsea. Maldon lies at the head of the unspolit and lovely Blackwater. The Crouch is another area of interest.

Whitstable and the East Swale, Faversham and the Medway ports at Rochester and Chatham are one of our favourite areas. The Thames is navigable up to the Pool of London and Tower Bridge. There are many piers where we can arrange to pick up passengers.
